EU → UK looks like a short geographic move. Regulatively, Brexit made it much less useful to think of it as ordinary movement inside one European pet-travel system.
For Great Britain, you need to coordinate identification, rabies status, the correct travel document, dog-specific requirements and an approved carrier or route.
And “UK” still isn't specific enough: Northern Ireland and Great Britain do not use identical pet-travel arrangements.
Your Existing Documents Matter
Depending on the circumstances, an eligible EU pet passport can be used for travel into Great Britain. But the correct document depends on where it was issued and the animal's circumstances.

The Transport Route Is Not an Afterthought
Great Britain restricts pet entry to approved routes and carriers, subject to specified exceptions. The carrier can then impose additional requirements of its own.
This means you can have perfectly good veterinary paperwork and still have the wrong transport plan.
This is why “it's just EU → UK” is dangerous thinking. The border may be close; the document, treatment and carrier rules still need to line up with the exact arrival.
